From 1 October 2025, Rockgas branches will no longer refill LPG bottles with a Kosan fitting

How do I know if my LPG bottle has a Kosan fitting?

A Kosan fitting is a connector or jumbo clip-on fitting used on LPG cylinders. They can be referred to as a clip-on, click-on or quick-on valve. Please see some examples below.

Your local Rockgas staff will be able to advise you if you have a Kosan fitting on your LPG bottle.

Why are Rockgas branches no longer refilling cylinders with a Kosan fitting?

The health and safety of both our staff and customers remains a priority for us and we wish to avoid any risk working with these fittings. Also, there are no longer replacement parts available once these begin to wear.

What should I do if I wish to keep using my LPG bottle with this type of fitting?

You will need to contact your local gas fitter for advice. They will need to change out the fittings for you, both on the LPG bottle itself and on the appliances on which it attaches to (most commonly a gas heater).
